About Jivan
MY STORY IN SHORT: I went to India 1972, just turned seventeen, on a bus full of hippies. I had only just met this new family of mine a month earlier at the alternative Ecology Conference in Stockholm. That is where I met Graham, later the father of my child, who invited me to Amsterdam for the summer, and I went... My parents agreed to me going, as long as Graham promised to take good care of me. And that he did. To make a very long story short; a group of fourteen of us travelled overland to India on a big bus, transformed into a house - which we as a family later lived on for several years. On this journey Graham introduced me to authors and philosephers like Gurdjieff, Sufism, Khalin Gibran, Ramdas and others. I met men in turbans sitting on the ground outside the mosques in Masari Sharif at the Russian border, in northern Afghanistan. I met tribal women and children coming through Kabul on their way south. I felt like I had come home. Even though anything spiritual was foreign to me, I found myself looking for a master hidden inside the eyes of these turbaned men. The Sufi tradition spoke of "the master shows himself when the disciple is ready", and I kept on looking... We drove down to Goa for the winter months, and then to Nepal - when the hot winds from the sea became unbearable. I loved the way the women in Katmandu massaged their babies with oil, all lined up on the stone walls outside their houses in the sunshine. I loved the Tibetans that played their long horns that echoed across the valley. I concieved on the night of Buddha full moon in 1973, in our bus parked under the Bodhi tree at the back of Swayambu stupa hill, overlooking the foothills of the Himalayas. Our son was born in New Delhi beginning of April 1974. Three years later I met my master in Pune, India and that deeply changed my life forever. The seeds that where sown are still blossoming, from the wisdom of that awakened source. A source that today is my inner well from where I draw my wisdom. 2009: I have gathered over thirty of experience and education in the fields of personal and spritual growth, coaching/mentoring and multi-cultural leadership. During my travels I worked as a project leader in the building- and restaurant business in USA, fashion designer in India, and running a cleaning company (for the love of cleaning) and coordinated meditation centers in Sweden. The last seveneen years I have offered my unique gifts, based on my extensive experence of how people function, to the development of groups, couples and individuals. I am known for my ability to quickly spot people's potential - and with intuition, heart, humour and a measure of stubbornness, guide them past their hinderences to their present moment of truth. My first book Moment of Truth - A Handbook for a New Leadership for a New Time, is coming soon.
